Brian Newman
Brian Newman is a successful trumpeter and vocalist out of Brooklyn, New York. His recent endevours include forming the Brian Newman Quartet, performing in the original show "LAST CALL AT THE STARLINER LOUNGE," playing at venues such as Birdland and recording with artists such as Lady Gaga ("Americano")!
Dr. Joshua Quinlan, D.M.A.
Josh Quinlan is a saxophonist, composer and educator based out of the state of Colorado. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado. He has played with jazz greats Bob Brookmeyer, Jim McNeeley, Louis Bellson, Bob Mintzer, Brad Goode, Maria Schneider and many others. He is a professor at CU and has recently been endorsed by P. Mauriat saxophones and has even toured in Taiwan to visit the P. Mauriat factory.

The trio draws influence from musical sources such as Miles Davis' 1970s fusion groups, MMW, James Brown, the Bad Plus, Bob Marley and more. They play groove, improvisation and melody driven music that maintains the organic nature of jazz, but with a blend of modern musical impressions. All three of these fine musicians are featured on the Jeff Riley Jazz Suite CD.
Hannah McDonald
Hannah McDonald a singer, songwriter, guitarist from St. Louis. She received her degree in Music from Webster University. Performing around St. Louis with her jazz group, Big Band and other groups as a professional musician, she has performed in some of the most coveted venues in St. Louis and has traveled extensively with different music groups all over the world. Hannah lived in California studying with Don Potter, but moved back to her home city of St. Louis to study at Webster University.
John Lake
John Lake is a trumpet player, arranger/composer, and educator in the Denver, Colorado area. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music as well as a Master's from the University of Colorado. He is a finalist for the 2011 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition. His newest album is by his electric band "Shirley."
Kim Dawson
Kim Dawson is a vocalist and educator out of Denver, CO. She earned a degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Northern Colorado. She enjoys many different genres of music and has perfromed with Grammy award-winners, Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame inductees and in Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops!
Shane Jonas
Trumpeter and vocalist on the album. Leads his own band, NDO, in Chicago. Continues to perform with the Low Down Brass Band with Chris Neal; Josh and Jeff are fromer members. He is currently doing well with the band Akasha and used to be the front man for the band Spare Parts.
Steve Kortyka
New to the New York/Astoria area, Steve Kortyka is an accomplished musician who has more than several years of performing experience. After graduating from CCM (the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music), he freelanced playing with an number of local bands throughout the state of Ohio. Steve has had the opportunity to visit places all over the world traveling and playing music for the companies of Carnival Cruiselines as well as Princess Cruiselines. After doing ships and practicing for 4 years he had decided to return to school at the Ohio State University before finding a home in New York City and even performing in Lady gaga's 2011 Thanksgiving special on ABC. His new album combines original jazz music with the energetic improvisation we have all come to enjoy from Steve.
Saint Louis Big Band
Since October 19, 2010, this band has grown into a determined, resiliant ensemble. A core of musicians that include Jeff Riley have seen other musicians such as Nate boxdorfer come and go, but they view it as nothing short from thrilling. This "anamoly" looks to keep building, one gig at a time, and meeting new people as a chair needs filled!
